Alec is a dedicated and empathic counselor in training at St. Mary’s University and is excited to start working with you! Born and raised in San Antonio, he offers grounded and authentic counseling services to individuals and groups. As a former athlete, he relates with athletes on the internal and external pressures they face and is willing and able to help you navigate those pressures, on and off the field.
Alec’s passion and desire to help others guided him to receive his bachelor’s degree in psychology and minor in nutrition, and while he loves working with athletes, his drive to help others and counseling services are available to anyone who is struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, or any other difficulties.
With an existential approach, Alec prides himself on building therapeutic relationships through the foundation of meaning-making, authenticity, and responsibility. The road to becoming the best version of yourself starts here, and Alec is ready to guide you on your journey.

Denise Dibildox
Introducing Denise Dibildox, a passionate and dedicated Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate intern whose multicultural and life-rich background uniquely equips her to support clients on their journeys toward holistic well-being.
Originally from Mexico, Denise is bilingual (fluent in both English and Spanish), allowing her to connect deeply with diverse populations and bridge cultural nuances with empathy. Her experience extends beyond academics: as a former health coach, she understands the transformative power of wellness, lifestyle, and human connection.
Drawing from the enriching experience of raising a daughter and sustaining a 23-year marriage, Denise deeply appreciates the ways that life transitions, resilience, and relationships contribute to mental health. She integrates this lived wisdom into her work, encouraging clients to nurture their inner strengths and cultivate balance.
Denise’s approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and mindfulness. She weaves holistic practices, mindful living, and wellness strategies into her counseling, guiding clients toward self-discovery and empowering them to achieve their full potential.

Seth Rood
Seth Rood is a graduate intern in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at St. Mary’s University, where he is completing his clinical training with a heart for meaningful, client-centered care. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Baylor University, and his academic and life experiences continue to shape his deep commitment to helping others grow, heal, and thrive.
Seth is known for being creative, kind, and deeply compassionate, and he feels a strong calling to walk alongside others as they navigate life’s challenges. His personal and professional experiences inform his drive to help clients succeed and conquer life’s obstacles with confidence and resilience.
Seth is especially passionate about working with people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and self-esteem concerns. He strives to create a safe, supportive, and collaborative space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to move toward meaningful change.

Yasmin T. Favela
Yasmin takes a collaborative and compassionate approach, helping clients align their values with purposeful action. She believes meaningful change begins when individuals feel seen, heard, and supported in honoring their full story.
A U.S. Air Force veteran with over 21 years of military leadership experience, including service in Iraq, Yasmin brings a deep understanding of resilience, identity, and the emotional challenges that can arise from trauma, transition, and major life changes. She is especially passionate about supporting veterans and their families navigating PTSD, anxiety, trauma, and reintegration.
Originally from Mexico and proficient in both Spanish and English, Yasmin offers a culturally informed and inclusive perspective that honors how lived experiences shape mental health. While she has a strong focus on veterans and culturally diverse communities, she welcomes adults from all backgrounds seeking support with anxiety, trauma, stress, or personal growth.
